Today the Barbican centre has opened an exhibition dedicated to the story of James Bond. The showcase has been curated by Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming and fashion historian Bronwyn Cosgrave who believes Bond's influence on fashion is undeniable. (I agree actually, thinking about how smartly dressed he is and the beautiful ladies)
"The impact of Bond on fashion is huge" "Designers are always ready to create costumes for Bond films because of their global appeal. What Bond and his female sidekicks wear is endlessly copied." - Cosgrave
"You can't imagine how many times we are asked to remake the classic suit Sean Connery wore.'"
The exhibition includes costumes worn by Bond and his many girls - with pieces by Tom Ford, Oscar de la Renta and Hubert de Givenchy.
