High street brand Evans is the first ever plus-size brand to show at London Fashion Week (LFW)
Sir Philip Green (Topshop) paired Evans with designers Giles Deacon, Clements Ribeiro, Hema Kaul, Lulu Liu, Jamie Wei Huang and Vita Gottlieb to create 'The Design Collective' for Evans, which mixed in-house looks with each designer's own pieces.
"This is a big and important part of the market, and we need to be seen to embrace it. You caanot ignore the market place. And you can't be defensive abour it, or apologize about plus-size fashion. Why should the category be any different from petite?" - Philip Green
I completely agree, it's a big step in the fashion world. Woman can embrace their curves, bum and boobs!
This is a catwalk show that real women can relate to and hopefully young girls can see they don't have to be size zero, super skinny like you see on the usual catwalks.
Confident, happy, normal women.
