The September Issue of Elle 2011

 I love this issue, every page is beautiful. There are so many great photographs,adverts and editorials. I thought I would share with you just some of them, the rest you will have to buy the magazine and check out for yourself! :)

River Island have a new advert, which is a double page spread. Great bold colours.Fun stylish advert. 

I like this photograph,the clothes make this photo come alive. It looks messy but sexy and stylish at the same time.

If you don't buy high fashion magazines on a regular basis,but like to buy them occasionally. September is the month. It is the biggest issue of the year. It is the thickest. It is the start of the new season. Everything goes into the september issue. It's a must buy. This one in particular i know i'm going to enjoy reading!

Big thick issue of course for September! Filled with very exciting things for the new season! 
Must check it out, one of my favourite trends for the new season is fetish..ooo sexy! 
The front cover is gorgeous, will keep you updated, for now it remains a secret while i finish flicking through the magazine :) 

Fancy a bikini line wax?

But ouch! is your first thought? 


Well.. hot wax is the option for you. To explain it in very simple terms it goes on like caramel and then after a few minutes or so the wax hardens and is just pulled off like that. It only pulls the hairs not your skin,so hurts less and is better for your skin. Less reddening on the skin.
Hot wax works well on small patches, it is difficult to wax large areas at once, it's more time consuming as you need to wait for it to dry.Bikini and underarm are best. The hot wax gets a better grip of the hair than warm wax. It is good for removing shorter hairs. 


I will be honest, you will feel a little tiny sting when it is removed but that is all, nothing compared to warm wax.

Oh and if you try any waxing yourself it will definitely hurt more than getting it done at a salon, so don't let that put you off!

Aibrushed make - up ads banned for "Misleading"

YAY!!!!! 

"Cosmetic adverts featuring airbrushed images of actress Julia Roberts and model Christy Turlington have been banned by the advertising watchdog.

Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson complained that the L'Oreal adverts were "not representative of the results the products could achieve".

The Advertising Standards Authority agreed that the images were exaggerated and breached its code of conduct.

L'Oreal admitted retouching but denied that the two adverts were misleading." - (source -BBC News)

I'm glad they were banned, i'm not a fan of airbrushing at all! It is very misleading and causes all sorts of mental and physical health problems for young women.

Blogging about my outfit.. some people I know blog their outfit before they go out but I don't want the people who i'm going out with tonight seeing it on my blog before they see me. It's part of going out, it's a surprise,seeing what everyone is wearing. So you will just have to wait.... :) 

Shopping today....

My friends who know me really well, know that I love underwear and love underwear shoots.Today I bought some amazing bargains! Bra, pants and lacy tights! All from M&S. The tights will be great for some photoshoots I have in mind. I am very excited! 

Today..I would like to be wearing..

From Miss Selfridge. Usually not a fan of these flat sandals but they look comfy and stylish. Great for casual or smart. 

I was in Space NK the other day and the lady was telling me about this Mia Sonic Skin-Cleansing System. It not only cleanses your skin but removes all your make up including eye make up in no time at all. The lady said: " I sit in front of the tv while I use it to take my make up off, so easy"
Humidity can clog up the skin, using this you will be amazed at how much softer and clearer your skin becomes.

It is pricy but it sounds like it works and a great investment for your skin.Everyone wants to have beautiful amazing skin that stays young and fresh for as long as possible. When I can afford it I will definately want to buy one!

Top Tip

Always good to choose a foundation with a spf for example Estee Lauder Double Wear has spf 10.Most foundations do but good idea to check. Important to be protected from the sun every day not just on the beach!

Wedges! From New Look.. in Oatmeal to match most outfits.Wedges give you some height and comfort. Great to wear with casual day wear or dress up for evening wear.

As it's raining, the wellies need to be out! I love these short wellies from Office "Marshmallow Welly Shell Rubber" The shells and pink pastel colour keep them summery even if it is raining! Short wellies look better with dresses than long wellies I think and if you're not that tall short can look better too.

Shoes..today i'm wearing

Classic Cream ballet Pumps. Summer Must Have.

Can find almost everywhere. They have to be comfy, i can't stand pumps that rub!

However, if you do have shoes that rub and give you blisters..this is a must have, it is amazing! Anti-Blister Stick, you apply it to the parts of your foot that usually blister and wait until you have taken your shoes off and realise your not in pain, they haven't rubbed and there is no blister, yay!!!

I know I shouldn't be spending money on little silly things when I currently don't have a job! I really wanted this nail varnish by Barry M in Peach Melba because I don't have a colour like it and it will go with lots of different outfits and this colour is so in fashion right now. I decided to buy it in Superdrug because I get student discount ( love being a student!) however, completely sold out! ( should have bought it when i first saw it there!) In the end I bought it from Boots, treated myself. 

Every girl deserves to treat herself!

Victoria and David name their little girl Harper Seven Beckham

"David and Victoria Beckham have announced they have decided to call their little girl Harper Seven Beckham. She was born yesterday morning at 7.55am weighing  7lb 10oz.

The footballer wrote on his facebook page: 'I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA.

'Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx'

Photoshoot today went well, my good friend Helen (Ramsbottom) modelled for me.
I shot some beauty shot mainly and some casual fun shots in the sunshine with the flowers in the garden. Luckily no rain!

"Good Girl Gone Bad?" 

I love the concept of this shoot,the contrast of dark hair,black clothes,attitude.In contrast with Emma's natural hair colour, white innocent clothes with bright summery lighting with a field of buttercups and daisies surrounding her on the page opposite.
