The name is Bond...James Bond

The La Perla swimming trunks worn by Daniel Craig in "Casino Royale" go on display at Christie's in London, ahead of the auction house's James Bond-themed sale on 5th October.

OPI has been busy creating a full Bond-themed collection to celebrate 50 years of the iconic British spy. With shades named after some of the films. Deep plum Casino Royale and multi-hued glittery The Living Daylights amongst them - the limited-edition collection also features an irresistibly decadent 18-carat gold leaf top coat, The Man With The Golden Gun. With a Tom Ford-designed wardrobe, a theme song performed by Adele and now a nail varnish collection created in his honour, James Bond looks set to be more stylish than ever.

Helena Christensen - lingerie line

Helena Christensen has created his first lingerie collection in collaboration with Triumph - she describes this as a "very cool" move. The supermodel has designed a luxury range for the underwear brand consisting of three differently themed ranges - Poetica (sexy, Swarovski-adorned lace), Ballerina (feminine Seventies-inspired glamour) and Dahlia, (soft romantic separates)
"I was already their campaign girl, but Triumph suggested evolving the partnership and collaborating together"
"It was such a great opportunity to work with such a traditional established company and have them support me in the making my own line."
I like these photos, being photographed in underwear outside is different too because usually with lingerie shoots you expect them to be inside. This is fun, cool but sexy too.

Kelly Brook postcard campaign

Kelly Brook backs postcard campaign. Holiday photographs of Kelly Brook relaxing on the beach have been transformed into 1950s style postcard images by mobile phone company O2.
Kelly Brook fronts the campaign to resurrect the traditional British seaside postcard - with a digital twist.
The firm has launched a drive to celebrate postcard art and bring it "back from the edge" after research showed that holidaymakers from the UK were falling out of love with the traditional handwritten mode of communication - What do you think? Would you try this out and send a digital postcard?

Self - Portrait research

I'm thinking about updating my self portrait, i've had a few ideas but wanted to do some research into what other photographers have done for their self portrait.
I like this one..showing just one eye and the camera at the front.

This one is creative and different.

Very simple.

This one is cool, it reminds me of when taking a photo you end up making funny faces, screwing up your face.

This one, you see the pretty girl at first and then you notice the camera. If I used this idea, it could represent what I like to do, photograph pretty girls.

This is clever, like magic, might give this a go.

Simple and similar to my last one, using the camera as your face.
Who is hidden behind the mask?
I will post the results when I'm happy with them..it might take a while as I want to get it right!

Topshop - "scan and buy" straight from the catwalk!

Topshop launched its long-awaited collaboration with London Fashion Week designer JW Anderson. Topshop invited its customers to use app and barcode technology to buy limited-edition pieces from Anderson's collection.
Throughout this week the store's sales assistants have been handing out digital catalogues. From today customers can make purchases by scanning the catalogue barcodes with their iPhones.
While Asos operates a similar service, Topshop's "Scan to buy" move is a first for the  British high street.
Those who attended fashion shows at Somerset House were also invited to get their JW Anderson fix by scanning a giant barcode wall in the courtyard - how exciting!?
All purchases made will be delivered to the customers over the next 24 hours to five days depending on their choice of service.

Anderson, 27, began his career as a menswear designer and is one of Fashion Week's brightest young stars. He has a tomboyish approach to design, so he counts Alexa Chung amongst his fans.
A new partnership with Facebook will allow Topshop customers to purchase clothes directly from the catwalk when it live-streams its fashion week show on sunday ( see my previous post)

Topshop will livestream its Unique spring/summer 2013 show on Topshop.com this sunday, offering shoppers the chance to buy pieces from the collection immediately from the catwalk - how exciting?
"This show is all about the customer and creating what we call social entertainment around our product," said Topshop chief marketing officer Justin Cooke. "We want to take the energy and the excitement of our iconic Oxford street store to millions of people all over the world through Topshop.com. It's social, it's commerce and it's entertainment all rolled into one."
For the first time ever, fans of the brand will be able to customise what they see on the catwalk with the option to change the colours of selected key looks and accessories. You will also be able to buy all beauty products used on the show models. New Fashion App!

Finally it has been launched! A new mobile app has launched which enables users to source and shop a particular style of clothing, based on a photo that they upload.
While I was studying at university we were talking about apps and things they could do for consumers whilst shopping etc..there was talk of something similar to this and now it is here! This App was created by a graduate, which I'm not surprised about as us students/graduates talk about all the possibilities whilst at university, maybe I need to start creating one!
It is described as "a sartorial search engine", the Snap Fashion app works by trawling through thousands of products available to buy online - to bring you the items which are the closest match to your photo.
So, for example, if you've seen a particular Breton striped T-shirt that you like in your favourite magazine e.g Vogue or Elle. - you could take a photo of it using your camera phone and upload to the app, which will deliver more similar stripy offerings that are available to buy online at that moment. The app is the first of its kind in the UK, and was the brainchild of 25-year-old computer science graduate Jenny Griffiths.
"I was tired of shopping on a student budget," explained Griffiths. "I love admiring looks in magazines, on the catwalks and those that other women put together, but when it came to sourcing the items that I liked - within my budget - I struggled. Using technology to search via images seemed like the most obvious thing to do."
Snap Fashion has an extensive list of affiliate sites which it scans by colour, cut and style to find the best match, delivering the results to you in seconds. Users are then able to click through on each product to buy online directly, or save in their favourites folder for later.
